Why You Should Visit Universal Orlando Resort on your next Florida Vacation

I love planning Walt Disney World vacations for my clients and hearing about all the magic they experience around the resort, but did you know I offer more than just Disney magic? It’s true – friends and clients who book with me often also add-on a visit to Universal Orlando Resort, extending the fun outside of Disney World. Here are a few reasons you may want to “plus” up your vacation with a day or two at Universal Orlando Resort.

A Little Something for Everyone

Everyone knows Walt Disney World is a great family theme park, but one of the benefits of Universal Orlando is that it offers thrills, as well as family-friendly attractions. Kids of all ages will enjoy Despicable Me Minion Mayhem and E.T. Adventure, but what about the big kids? Make sure to stop by the newly expanded Jurassic World area of the park where the brand new VelociCoaster zips guests (51” and taller) past screeching Velociraptors at a top speed of 70mph! Plenty of other thrill rides for the young and old are offered around the park – ask me about my other favourites!

Make a Little Magic Yourself

My favourite part of Universal Orlando is The Wizarding World of Harry Potter. These two immersive themed lands feature everything from Butter Beer, to spell-casting wizards (you can even pick up your own wand and cast spells around the lands) to exciting attractions, like Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey and the newest attraction, Hagrid’s Magical Creature Motorbike Adventure (try saying that five times fast)! Be sure to board the Hogwart’s Express to be magically transported between both Hogsmeade and Diagonal Alley during your visit.

Catch a Show

Just like at Walt Disney World, Universal Orlando offers entertainment and shows around the parks when you might need a bit of time to rest your feet.

Be sure to take in Universal’s Superstar Parade, featuring many of your favourite Universal characters, like those silly Minions! We also love to take in The Bourne Stuntacular, featuring everything from a thrilling rooftop escape to an exhilarating motorcycle chase.
