What I Love About Staying at Disney’s BoardWalk Inn
Updated: Dec 7, 2021
As a travel agent who specializes in Disney, and an avid Walt Disney World fan, I have a healthy knowledge of the many resort hotels around Walt Disney World. I’ve even been lucky to stay at many of them myself. Most recently, I stayed at Disney’s BoardWalk Inn and I wanted to share with you a few of the reasons this resort is so special!
Location, Location, Location
The first selling point of BoardWalk Inn that comes to mind is its physical location. Its close proximity to EPCOT and Disney’s Hollywood Studios make it an ideal resort for many guests. Not only does it offer the traditional bus transportation to and from the parks, but it also boasts daily boat transportation to both of the parks that it neighbours. This is a unique and relaxing way to not only get where you’re going, but to also enjoy a different view of Walt Disney World.
The BoardWalk Itself
Every Walt Disney World resort hotel has its own unique theming and style, and BoardWalk Inn is no different! In fact, it has its own quarter-mile promenade featuring unique dining, various shops and thrilling nightlife offerings.
When visiting BoardWalk Inn, I always make sure to eat at Trattoria al Forno. This beautiful Italian restaurant, nestled right in the action of the promenade, features delicious Italian fare in a comfortable setting. They offer everything from pizza to strip steak, and even a compelling wine list for those who wish to imbibe.
Recreation and Fun Abound!
Of course, when you’re finding your way around BoardWalk Inn, you may have the desire to have a bit of fun, and this resort does not disappoint. Families young and old love the Luna Park Pool. This carnival-themed pool area boasts a 200-foot-long water slide, as well as a kids pool area, adult jacuzzi, and two quiet pools. Activities are regularly held poolside – everything from trivia to tie dye!
You’ll also want to take advantage of the poolside food and drink service from Leaping Horse Libations if you’re spending the day lounging in the Florida sun.
And at night, the adults can continue to have fun and let loose at the Atlantic Dance Hall. This Art Deco ballroom is made for guests 21 and older and features music from the 80s all the way up to today!
